The battle for mountain town bragging rights

Outside invited eight pro mountain athletes to Colorado’s epic San Juan Mountains for this first-ever TV competition to search for the most well-rounded male and female outdoor athletes across multiple disciplines. The athletes competed on high-altitude courses between Durango and Ouray, Colorado, that tested overall skill, speed, and endurance in three mountain sports: backcountry skiing, mountain biking and sport climbing- all to see who is crowned the Ultimate Mountain Athlete. The 6 episode series culminated with both a male and female winner driving away in the brand new Toyota Tacoma.

Squad Goals Dream Roles

When the team at Outside originally approached us with the idea it was the perfect opportunity to "Yes and . . " an intriguing concept. With Outside handling the heavy lifting around athlete selection, sponsorship management and distribution, we were able to focus on what we do best: the onsite production and post production of a kick-ass 6 episode story based around an inspiring group of athletes. Hosted by the iconic Selema Masekela and pro skier Amie Engerbretson, with direction by Chase White, the series breaks away from the traditional reality show tropes, trading manufactured drama for genuine athletic competition and stoke for the mountains
